It isn’t so easy to find your way out of the dark woods of anxiety. I know. I suffered for most of my adult life. At times it seemed mild, at others it awoke with the fury of a snarling bear. I began to try ‘not’ to feel anxiety. When I did so, I found my world shrinking. Avoiding things meant confirming that they were scary (even though they were not). I eventually could not leave my home city for more than 20 years.I truly understand the suffering of Sarah’s mother. But the good news is that I did find my way out. I found that fear was my best teacher as strange as that may sound. I found that when you want to make deep and lasting changes, you do that from the INSIDE OUT. That is where fear originates and that is where you deal with it. I found that what you think about expands and what you focus on creates your reality.
When you want to overcome fear or any challenge, you begin by working on yourself on the inside and learning to challenge the voice of negativity that constantly whispers that the world is a dangerous place and that you cannot trust yourself. Learning to disagree, learning that you are more powerful than you realize, and learning that it is okay to take a risk all help move you along past your challenges. Focus on what you want, be positive and never ever give up on yourself. Our thoughts create our lives, choose them wisely!
My book provides tips, tools and strategies to help overcome fear and anxiety. It is called “Anxiety Rescue - Simple Strategies to Stop Fear from Ruling Your Life.” For more information see my web site http://www.anxietyrescuebook.com
