Smile With Your Eyes

Welcome!

I'm Sarah and I'm training for the New York Marathon this November 1st, while raising funds for the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, in memory of my mother Robin Hunt.

She always used to tell me "Smile With Your Eyes," so that's what I named this blog. Over the years I've come to realize that phrase means a lot more than just how to take a good photo.

Please visit my fundraising page here.

For more information on ADAA please visit their website www.adaa.org.

You can read "Robin's Story" here, as written by my Dad.

And "Living With Anxiety, Advice for a Surviving Spouse".

I can be reached here: sarah.hunt1 at gmail dot com.

Thanks for stopping by!

I had a lovely run on Saturday. It was “only” 10-miles. It’s funny that at this point in my training, 10-miles is a piece of cake!

It rained last week in L.A. and there is nothing more beautiful than the sky in Southern California after the rain. It lasts for like two-seconds before the smog forms again, but I’ll take what I can get.

The above pictures are me trying to capture the sky with my iPhone around mile 6 (almost to the Rose Bowl). It really didn’t do it justice.

Then the picture of me at the track is one I took for inclusion to a few newspapers. The Hanford Sentinel will be running a story about my fundraising goals this Friday, and the South Pasadena Star Review will run something as well (not sure what the date is on that).

I’ve raised over $7,000 so far, which is amazing, so I’m hoping with the extra publicity I can push the number up to my goal of $10,000!

Have a great week everyone!
